List Microsoft 365 Contacts with AI on Mac

m365_list_contacts lets your AI assistant read the contacts stored in your Microsoft 365 / Outlook address book, right from a chat. Instead of opening Outlook and scrolling, you just ask in plain English. For example, type: "List my Microsoft 365 contacts and show me everyone who works at Contoso." The AI pulls the list locally and answers in seconds.

Which AI agents work?

LMCP works with both desktop and web AI clients:

• Desktop clients — Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code (GitHub Copilot), Windsurf and Zed auto-configure through a local stdio connection. No copy-paste setup.
• Web AIs — ChatGPT, Claude.ai (web), Grok and Perplexity connect through the LMCP Cloud Relay connector, which securely bridges the web chat to your Mac.

Once connected, just ask any of them to list your Microsoft 365 contacts.

• List your M365 contacts, then draft an email to a subset with send_email.
• Find a contact's details and create a calendar invite with create_calendar_event.
• Cross-reference Outlook contacts against your local Mac Contacts to spot duplicates or missing entries.
• Pull a contact and start a Teams or Messages conversation in one flow.

Context

Because LMCP runs on your machine, the AI works with your real Microsoft 365 data — the actual people in your Outlook address book, not a generic guess. That means answers reference real names, companies and email addresses, so follow-up actions like emails and invites are accurate the first time.
