Do I need a Microsoft 365 API key to use m365_create_event?

No. LMCP uses your existing signed-in Microsoft 365 account on your Mac. There are no API keys to create or manage — you connect your account once and the tool works.

Will the event show up in Outlook on my other devices?

Yes. Because LMCP writes to your real Microsoft 365 calendar, the event syncs through Microsoft to Outlook on the web, your phone, and any other device signed in to the same account.

Can ChatGPT or Perplexity create Outlook events too?

Yes. Web AIs like ChatGPT, Claude.ai, Grok and Perplexity connect through the LMCP Cloud Relay connector, which lets them call m365_create_event on your Mac just like desktop clients do over local stdio.

Is my calendar data sent to LMCP's servers?
