signal_disconnect
Signal · macOS
Effect: write (strongest supported action). Status: gated.
Gated means the tool requires an installed app, a connected account, permission, or runtime availability. Check those requirements on the listed platform before using it.
macOS
Purpose
Turns Signal off in Local MCP: its tools stop reading it until the user turns it back on from LMCP's icon → My apps → open the app's row → the account's Read · Send · Write. Local MCP holds no sign-in for Signal, so nothing is signed out: the Signal app stays signed in on this computer. The first call returns a preview and changes nothing; confirm=true turns it off. No tool turns it back on.
Required inputs
No required inputs are declared in this platform's schema. Optional selectors and runtime requirements may still apply.
Permissions and confirmation
Explicit confirmation parameter: inspect the schema and tool description before any real call. The documentation example keeps confirm false. Obtain user authorization before performing the action.
- Use only the apps, accounts and resources authorized by the user on this platform. Consult this tool's platform-specific description for its connection and permission requirements; this catalog does not assert additional OAuth scopes or OS entitlements.
