copy_email
Email · macOS
Effect: write (strongest supported action). Status: gated.
Gated means the tool requires an installed app, a connected account, permission, or runtime availability. Check those requirements on the listed platform before using it.
macOS
Purpose
Copies an email into another mailbox of the Mac's Apple Mail (Mail.app); the original stays where it is. Requires confirm=true. copied is true only when the target mailbox shows one more copy of the message; otherwise the answer says it is not confirmed. To copy into a mailbox of ANOTHER account, leave account out (with account= the target is looked for in that account only) and use a folder name only that account has. A target that does not exist is refused with the mailboxes that were seen.
Required inputs
message_id— The message id returned by list_emails or search_emails. Accepts the bare id or the <angle-bracketed> form.target_mailbox— Destination folder, by name (see list_email_folders). Nested folders are found by their own name, not by a path.
Permissions and confirmation
Explicit confirmation parameter: inspect the schema and tool description before any real call. The documentation example keeps confirm false. Obtain user authorization before performing the action.
- Use only the apps, accounts and resources authorized by the user on this platform. Consult this tool's platform-specific description for its connection and permission requirements; this catalog does not assert additional OAuth scopes or OS entitlements.
