flag_email
Email · macOS
Effect: write (strongest supported action). Status: gated.
Gated means the tool requires an installed app, a connected account, permission, or runtime availability. Check those requirements on the listed platform before using it.
macOS
Purpose
Flags an email in the Mac's Apple Mail (Mail.app) with a color, or clears its flag. color is one of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, gray, or none to clear (default red). The answer is what Mail reads back after the change. Pass account= and mailbox= (from list_emails/search_emails) so the message is found without scanning. Called without confirm it returns a preview and changes nothing; pass confirm=true to flag.
Required inputs
message_id— The message id returned by list_emails or search_emails. Accepts the bare id or the <angle-bracketed> form.
Permissions and confirmation
Explicit confirmation parameter: inspect the schema and tool description before any real call. The documentation example keeps confirm false. Obtain user authorization before performing the action.
- Use only the apps, accounts and resources authorized by the user on this platform. Consult this tool's platform-specific description for its connection and permission requirements; this catalog does not assert additional OAuth scopes or OS entitlements.
