add_contact_to_group
Contacts · Windows
Effect: write (strongest supported action). Status: gated.
Gated means the tool requires an installed app, a connected account, permission, or runtime availability. Check those requirements on the listed platform before using it.
Windows
Purpose
Adds a contact of Microsoft Outlook's Contacts on Windows, found by contact_id or by name, to an existing group, found by its exact name ignoring case. The contact needs an email address: Outlook's groups hold addresses. A contact already in the group is answered with already_in_group: true. To make a group use create_contact_group.
Required inputs
group_name— Name of the group, as outlook_contacts_list or Outlook shows it.
Permissions and confirmation
Explicit confirmation parameter: inspect the schema and tool description before any real call. The documentation example keeps confirm false. Obtain user authorization before performing the action.
- Use only the apps, accounts and resources authorized by the user on this platform. Consult this tool's platform-specific description for its connection and permission requirements; this catalog does not assert additional OAuth scopes or OS entitlements.
